We are trying to make an interactive quiz. with 2 conditions:
1. If the user answers the question correctly then he should be taken ahead in the video.
2. If the user answers the question in-correctly then he must be taken back to the time marker.

The Problem:
The option 1 works fine.
The option 2 has a problem which is that when the user gives the wrong answer, the user is taken to the time marker but the Question that he attempted disappears from the timeline.

We want to retain the wrongly answered question so that he can view the video again and answer.

Please help urgently.

Regards,

Hello,

Right now when you have answered all the questions at a specific time (question set), the player will no longer display what you have done.  The only workaround I can think of is to place a free response question after the last one that can be correct or incorrect.  That way the question set will be available for review.

We will take this use case into account and may be able to modify the player in the future.

Thank you,
Ben

Thanks a lot Ben for the quick reply. It worked but with few hiccups.

By free response you meant a question without any answer or default answer?
Also, we need to keep it after every question or the last one only?

We tried it after 1st question but then it gives us the default answer and tell us to submit it.

Can you please explain lil more? it'll be a great help.

Sorry, I was referring to the "Short Answer" question type in Camtasia.  You can just place it at the end of all the questions in that set.

You will only be able to review the previously answered questions when reaching that time again.  We currently do not offer you to change your answer once you have submitted them.

Hi Ben,

I have an additional question/possible working solution. Is there a way to allow the trainee to see the quiz results at the end?

In other words we're requiring a score >= 80% to pass the course, so is there a way for us to have the current score displayed at the end to let the trainee know if they've passed or if they need to retry?

If we can display the score, then we can easily require that they retake the course and not just retry a question.

Any and all help will be greatly appreciated!

Hi Brandy,

Unfortunately our player does not have that functionality built in right now.

How are you hosting your videos?  Do you have a system that support SCORM?  If so that would be a better solution to setup a video as an assignment.  The player reports the quiz score to the LMS to give pass / fail the assignment based on that score.

Sorry I did not have more helpful information.

Hi Ben,

Our LMS is CSOD. What we need is a Quiz results display with score and the options to review, retake or exit.

We've found a solution to the first issue, we're using a single quiz at the end of the video with multiple questions. This allows the user to see their score once all of the questions are answered.

Now what we need is a way to summarize the information and allow the user to easily review/retake the quiz.

I'm thinking that if we add a slide after the quiz with instructions, we can direct the learner to retake the course/quiz. Is there a way to get the quiz results to appear on a slide like that?

Thanks!

Brandy
