Need to lighten up the Quick Styles area in v13

Dear Techsmith - You need to lighten up the Quick Styles area in Snagit v13. When using the Dark theme, the black objects are invisible and darker objects such as the shadow selector are almost invisible. The light blue of "Light" theme is difficult to use. For those of us doing a lot of screen shots from other software or training docs which tend to be lighter colored, it is hard to quickly see where the capture stops and Snagit starts. It literally gives me a headache after about 15 minutes of use...

Thanks for taking the time to provide us with your feedback pkirill!
I'm sorry to hear your experience with Snagit's Editor has been less than desirable; we strive to make using Snagit as pleasurable an experience as possible and definitely don't want to be the source of any headaches!

I would be happy to pass your feedback on to our design staff regarding the theme colors. Aside from that, I wanted to ensure you had some options to try out today to hopefully improve your experience.

Suggestions:
- Have you tried changing Snagit Editor's background color? This may aide you with the trouble you are having with identifying where your capture ends and the Editor begins. The background color can be changed while in Light or Dark theme and can provide a clear contrast for where the capture ends and the Editor begins (see image, which has instructions on how to adjust the color - please note I picked a 'loud' color to illustrate the area constituting the background).
- Have you experimented with your monitor's brightness/contrast?
- Have you by chance seen Snagit 13 on a different computer and noticed the same issues? I've uploaded a picture of my system on Dark theme for comparison below - is it reflective of what you're experiencing? I would recommend viewing the attached images on computers other than the one you're experiencing your issues on (to see if the issues you see in the dark/light theme are related to your computer's specific hardware/monitor).

Again, I'm sorry to hear you're having issues! I hope some of the above proves helpful and please let me know if I may be of further assistance!

Hey Nick - Thanks for that tip. Changing the background color on the light theme is very helpful. The other issue with the dark theme is not as easy to fix (see attached). The black shape and the shadow selector are still hard to see compared to the light version - especially in a well lit room. I have a good hardware setup so I'm not concerned about that. My office is a bit bright but there's nothing I can do to change that unfortunately...

Glad the background color change was able to help you out! As for the Dark theme, thanks for the image! I'll pass it and your feedback along to our designers.

Best Regards,

Update: I neglected to mention an additional, quicker way to change the color of your background!
