Yes, I know how to use stock image and superimpose the video on top, but if Camtasia is going to support device frames, a larger selection would be helpful.

Currently, the motion backgrounds in Camtasia Mac 2018 look like this:

As you can see, there is a background that is slightly blurred (along with some very subtle motion in the background). Is this along the lines of what you're thinking? If so, what additional Device Frames would you want; if not, please explain so we can understand better.
Cheers!

Exactly that motion background with the device I meant and please a few more variants (possibly with current iOS devices) and different motion backgrounds (office, quiet street, beach etc. pp).
I like such a video presentation very, very much :)
BTW is this motion background mit iOS/MacOS devices also available in the Windows version of Camtasia 9/2018?

Thanks for giving additional feedback about the types of scenes you would like to see, that's helpful!
Yes, these Device Frames are available on both Windows and Mac OS versions of Camtasia 2018. There are currently four Device Frames available (desktop PC, Apple laptop, iPhone, Android device).

Kelly

thank you for this information.
However, the device frame in Camtasia that comes with it (I mean the MacBook in Kelly's screenshot above) already looks right, from perspective and light reflections etc. or in other words, it doesn't look like a fake object.
If I did it myself (like in the video you posted) it might be a bit harder to get it that authentic.

but otherwise, I am just a Camtasia user, like yourself; I do own a software company, but I have no affiliation with TechSmith
is there something specific I can help you with?

Slight movement in the background and a small zoom into the device would be perfect. Throw it on a nice table, maybe in a coffee shop with a steaming cup of coffee off to the side might be a nice touch.

I quite like the blurred background (has flexibility across all demographics), but a generic image would be fine too I guess (like the one Taylor shows above on a table - works for any demographic/country/agegroup). I need landscape and for an Android tablet - Ideally Tab A/S2 - but I am not worried about exact branding or even frame colour - just need a professional looking frame to show off our software. An iPad frame would be good too.
Do you have any indicative timelines on any news ones?
Thanks

Currently, the Device Frames that are included with Camtasia have that blurred background that you described, along with subtle motion happening as well (shadows moving, light reflections, etc). Are you hoping for more of those types of Device Frames?
I hear you loud and clear on both device types and screen orientation. We definitely are looking to expand what we have available in the future, no timetable yet, but the feedback you folks are providing us helps us to gauge both interest in the feature and what type of content you're looking for, so please keep it coming!

Kelly

Yes - I like the current device frames - so that look/feel is fine with me. Other options would be good too.
Hopefully they will be available soon.
Thanks

Any update on potentially providing an iPad frame?
I create tutorial/demonstration videos for a software company and it would be really helpful if there was an iPad device frame. Currently, I use the Macbook and iPhone frames and believe it would be a great feature to include an iPad.
Can we please get one soon!
Thanks,
Harry

We are still working on better support for device frame assets within Camtasia. However, we do not have a timeline yet on when that will be available. In the meantime, I was able to find a library of device frames available for use from facebook.design.
https://facebook.design/devices
These are all transparent device frames that can be used in Camtasia, along with the method outlined by kayakman above.

Like Brent said, we're always continuing to improve on what tools are available in Camtasia, and that includes Device Frames. If you'd be interested in discussing more about how you're using Device Frames with Camtasia, I'd love to have a quick chat with you. If so, let me know and I'll have someone reach out for a quick call.
Cheers, and thanks for the feedback!

If you don't mind me asking, what is your workflow for getting mobile content into Camtasia (both iOS and Android)?
