I use Snagit Editor and had no trouble until recently directly uploading my videos to you tube. It just started giving me a warning that my Google account is not connected to you tube channel and to create a you tube channel. But I have a you tube channel connected to google. Help ! what is going on ???

Same exact problem here. Would love a reply on this from TechSmith. I've used Snagit for a couple years with over 100 videos uploaded to youtube, but it started saying my G account is not linked with a YouTube channel around the beginning of June.

When I click the error message link to "create channel", Youtube has a bright red bar that says this account already has a channel.

How can I start uploading to Youtube again? Thanks.

Hi,
I'm sorry you are having trouble.

Would you try uninstalling the Youtube accessory then download and install the latest version from our website, here:

We're seeing reports here in Tech Support as well.  The same problem happens for us.  We have our development team looking in to the issue to see what could be going on.  Until we can get this straightened out, manually uploading to YouTube is the best workaround in the meantime.  Will update this once I have more information.

The YouTube output should now be working in Camtasia Studio.  You may need to click the sign out button and then log back in for it to starting.

I tried that and its still not working. My problem is when i go to produce video to youtube i get a message saying. " your Google account is not linked with a YouTube channel. You need to create a youtube channel before you can upload videos".

However i have been using the same account to upload like 30 videos already.

It sounds like you're running into the following.
https://support.techsmith.com/hc/en-us/articles/217895468

Right now manually uploading the videos is the best workaround.  We are working on getting this fixed.  The last time it came up it was resolved in about a day's time.  We're still trying to determine if it's the same root cause as when this happened a month ago.

This has started happening for me on Camtasia 9, but I can't find a fix. My account worked in the previous version. Can anyone advise?

It appears this problem is happening again.  I am on the latest version of Camtasia and it just started happening to me today!

Any known solution at this time.  Hate to have to save locally then upload as it nearly doubles production times?

Thanks for any solutions.

2 days ago I did another video and it did allow me to send straight to YouTube. It might be resolved now.

It's not resolved, I tried yesterday. Last week, when my IT team did some changes to the registry for the program, it worked for one video, but then immediately reverted back to the error.
TechSmith has given me a set of instructions to follow so they can look at the problem, but I need my IT team to do it, as the administrators.
It's very frustrating.

I cannot upload to my youtube channel with Camtasia 2018, although I am connected to a brand channel. If I upload a video with Camtasia 9, it works.

I am having this issue with Camtasia 2018. After signing in, the dialog indicates that I don't have a YouTube channel, but when I click to create one it leads me to the channel that I do indeed have linked to my Google account. I've tried the recommendations here but it won't work.

I've been having the exact same issue and TechSmith asked me to screenshot a process log to see if they could identify the issue. I haven't been able to do that, but given this issue is now being more widely reported, I would think they would be doing more investigation.

Hello,
Anybody can share any fresh news from TechSmith?
I'm going crasy with this issue.
The option to downgrade to Camtasia V9 is not a feasible option: all movies I'm handling today are already formatted with V 2018.

Since the last week I had to uninstall and reinstall two times. Then could make uploads to YouTube for 10-15 videos.
But, sadly, today the issue appeared again, and I'm now unable to handle it anymore!!
Please, Help TechSmith!!
You should release a fix for the installset of Camtasia 2018!!
