New Feature: Animation Across Transitions?

I discovered Camtasia (to my delight) last year. I was using Final Cut X, but found that it was way more software than I needed for what I was doing (producing podcasts). It's so easy to use, with a lot of versatility to stretch and change and animate and transition.

Which brings me to the topic: animating across transitions.

When a shot transitions into another shot, say, by pixelating, it would allow for greater sense of creative expression. For example, spinning on an axis, zooming a shot while pixelating into the next, which returns to normal size for the viewer.

Hi there

One way you might be able to achieve this would be to select the bit where you are transitioning, render that out as a small video clip, then add it to your Media Bin and animate it as you want.

Cheers... Rick :)

You can add manual animations to you clips. Than add a transition over the top of the animations.
In the example, I've rotated both clips and zoomed in and out. As you mentioned.

Heres the animation without a transition.

Transitions don't all mesh seamlessly. Here's  pixelate.

And Cube Rotate.

Ideally, Camtasia needs more transitions. And the transitions need properties you can adjust.

The gif's are 15 fps so there a little jerky and not a true representative of the actual look. 30fps gif's get rejected by this website, so I don't create them.
