New functions to the Combine Images feature

I like the template option, showing various templates based on the number of images, however, I do miss the option to simply combine the images. I use(d) that to explain some issues to our support team on our software, and I don't need to add text to it at all. It was simply to say, "Here is what the client is getting" and post the screenshots in one image, rather than posting several images separately. However, that "simple" option has disappeared, and all I can do is create a template, then delete all the extraneous decor. Can someone tell me how to simply combine multiple images like we could before, without using the templates?

With two or more images selected, do a Combine in Template.

Use the "Custom Steps" template. That is the "Simple Combine" we had.

If you chose this template.........

If you don't add text in the following window/pop-up, there shouldn't be any text boxes on the images.
It should also remember your previous settings. Landscape or Portrait. Numbered or not numbered.
However, it requires more steps than before.Being you must chose a template first, which is unfortunate.
SnagIt 2019 provided a more streamlined approach.

Sure seems to me that TechSmith made a mistake by removing the simple "Combine Images" from the context menu and lumped it in with the templates.  I'm not sure I understand why they elected to change the access path the way they did.  Then again, I'm not a programmer, so maybe there was a huge and looming technical reason for taking the approach the way they did.

Those that used this feature already knew where to look for it and it only seemed to cause confusion when it  was first placed at the bottom of the list of templates. And it's still causing confusion even though they moved it to the top.

And it's certainly not intuitive whatsoever being named "Custom Steps". Seems the least they could have done is named it what we were accustomed to seeing. "Combine Images" would certainly seem to me to convey the purpose much more handily than "Custom Steps" does.

At least it was easy to find and not a "missing" or "replaced" feature. Thanks, guys and gals!
