New User Frustration

When I first signed up for an account on your site, the sign up screen did not give any indication that I needed to verify my email address before I could proceed. I just started getting odd error messages because I was trying to log in without having verified my email.

This is not expected. We require you to activate your TechSmith Account to post here, but not for the other things you mentioned.

Could you tell me a little more about how you signed up? You tagged this as screencast.com, was that your first interaction or something else - like through Camtasia or Snagit? You said you saw error messages, do you remember what any of them said or looked like?
