Newly installed fonts not working correctly in callouts

Hi! I've been using Camtasia (currently version 2018.0.7) for about a year and just recently noticed an issue with fonts since upgrading to a new PC. When I install a font, it is visible in the fonts menu under callout properties and can be selected, but when applied to the text object on the Canvas it appears as a default sans serif font, possibly Arial. (It also appears this way in the rendered video, so it doesn't seem to be an issue with the preview only.)

I have tried restarting Camtasia and the computer after installing each font, and I'm using TTF fonts because I understand there were some incompatibilities with OTF. (In the font preview it does say "OpenType Layout" as well as "TrueType Outlines" and I haven't been able to determine whether this is an issue.)  Strangely, the correct font does appear in the menu as shown below:

However, it does not display this font when selected (reverts to Arial):

Note the difference between the highlighted text and the font selected in the menu.  I can choose other fonts (like the Comic Sans example in the lower left) and they will appear correctly, but any new fonts I've installed since upgrading my PC have failed to display. Is there a way to fix this? Thank you for your help.

Not sure what to tell you.
I downloaded VCR OSD Mono from Dafont. There were 2 to chose from.I chose the one highlighted in the purple in the image below.

I had no problem using the font.I copied and pasted the name of of your post.No offense intended.
I didn't try to render it.It seemed to work without issue.

Your new PC may need some updates before it starts acting correctly. They don't receive updates in the warehouse and the operation system is never up to snuff out of the box.
Check windows for updates.

I'm most familiar Dell Computers. The support assist app helps keeps drivers and bios up to date. Those things get outdated in the warehouse as well.Create issues.
You want to make sure your drivers are up to date.

You can get tech support through TechSmith as well.

Hi Jerin!

Out of curiosity, if you try using a Callout, then switching the style to a Legacy Callout, do the fonts appear as expected?

I had exactly the same problem that you and I could solve it.
Try to reinstall the font as follows:
1) Close Camtasia
2) Uninstall the font
3) Right click on the font file and click on "Install for all users"
4) Open Camtasia and check it out

Let me know if it works for you.
