Just installed Camtasia 3 for MAC and it did not install Camtasia toolbar in Powerpoint (Office 11). When I go to Add-in menu there is no Camtasia add-in available.

How can I install Camtasia 3 or Snagit 4 Toolbar in Office 11 programs? Thanks

Hi Dman,

Can't answer your question but thought I would point out something that might help. I discovered that I can drag and drop a slide from Numbers on Mac to the Media bin. Not sure this will work PP but may get you what you need. I use this to make title slides with gradient backgrounds, works great!

Hope this helps,
Bill

I doubt it, as addins were just recently added to Office 2016 for Mac; and before that, addins did not exist in Office for Mac (and I bet same for host apps like Camtasia). And even in Office 2016 for Mac, support is limited. My workaround is to just run Windows 10 under OS X at all times (Parallels Desktop 12), and with all the software installed there.

Thanks, let me see if I understand. I run VMWare Fusion (WINDOWS 10) on MAC. Will I have to install Office on Fusion as well as Camtasia/Snagit?

If it's important to you to use the addin, yes you can use Camtasia on Windows and install it with the addin after Office. Could you tell me what is attractive about the Camtasia office addin to you?

Hi Dman.Wright;

The PowerPoint Add-in is Windows-only at this time (as Jiggy Gaton mentioned, add-ins were not added to Office for Mac until this year's release). We may add an add-in for Mac, thought it is far too early to promise anything quite yet.  To record your PowerPoint sessions on your Mac, you will want to first start the Camtasia Recorder (open Camtasia, click on File - New Recording) then start the PowerPoint presentation. You would then edit out the first few seconds of the recording.

I thought I would add that when you do record powerpoint via Mac, it will automatically make markers (which are used for the Table of Contents and for jumping to from hotspots).

Thanks Robert, my Windows 10 Laptop also runs the latest Camtasia and Snagit but when I open Excel the Snagit Add-In shows up but not Camtasia Add-in. How can I add to Win 10? thanks
