I upgraded from Snagit 10 to Snagit 11, but theres no way I can get Sound(audio recording) in version 11 when doing video recording. I run Win XP32. I deleted Snagit 11 and reinstalled version 10 and now I have perfect sound (audio) recording again I cannot find an audio setup option under output properties in version 11 as is present in version 10. Please give advice.
Thanks. Martin Kirstein (mkirstein@lantic.net)

Hi Martin,

I'm sorry you are having problems with getting audio in your video recordings. The new video recording features in Snagit 11 are sweet so lets see if we can get you working. Are you not seeing any recording devices in the video drop down for audio?

This menu should allow you to select a recording device. Snagit also remembers your last used audio device so you shouldn't need to select it every time.

Thanks for trying out Snagit 11. We really appreciate your feedback and love to help. Let us know if this helps or if you are still having issues.

Thanks

I had a similar issue with Audio on a Windows 7 64-bit platform and solved it. It's NOT a SnagIt issue but a Windows configuration issue:

If you have Windows 7, follow the steps here and you should be good to go:

The solution for other versions of Windows will likely follow a similar process.

Hope this Helps!
