I have a few questions:

1. Are you a retina or non-retina user?
2. Multiple monitors or single monitor?
3. If you have multiple monitors which monitor is the tab on?
4. What side of the screen is the capture tab on?

I have tried reproducing this and I have been unsuccessful. My reproduction steps are:

1. Open Snagit.
2. Click the video capture toggle button to switch to video mode
3. Hit the red button
4. Drag out a region and start recording.
5. Stop and wait for editor to open with the video.
6. Move my mouse over to the capture tab.

4. What side of the screen is the capture tab on? right-side near the bottom (doesn't matter as it happens anywhere there).

4.5 Record something on the screen and move the cursor around.
5. Stop and wait for editor to open with the video.
6. Move my mouse over to the capture tab (or touch anywhere on the desktop which usually causes the capture window snaps back but now stays there until Snag-It is stopped/restarted.

This is a great conversation that's separate from the main topic, so I created a new topic to continue the discussion. Please reference the new topic here: Capture tab not "popping out" after taking a video capture

Add to my comments above that the capture tab no longer pops out when the mouse pointer is hovered over it; it must be pulled out and then it stays out until SnagIt is restarted.
