Noise Cancelling in Version 2018/2019

It looks like Camtasia is still relying on Audacity (or any third party) to handle noise cancellation in a robust manner, correct? Version 8 worked so well, I wonder why they can't just put that back.

Basically I'm wondering if it's worth upgrading to the latest or just sitting where I am. It's such a pain to have the whole "split a/v, export to wav, import to other app, cancel noise, export back out to wav, import wav to new track in Studio" kind of workflow.

I wonder if perhaps they were licensing code from another company and decided to create their own or use a different vendor's product?

I end up having to export the audio for volume leveling, which also doesn't work well in CS9 or 2018 either. I don't usually have to do any noise reduction, but I'm halfway there after exporting the audio, so it doesn't add that much time to the process.

All that said, yeah, they really need to fix this!

Unsure. I guess a majority could quite easily get around the usual audio problems, adding a few itemd to their setup. In our productions I use Audacity for less than 10% of the total. This means that for us, there are several other areas I’d like to see improved before adding my vote

When MP3 was no longer an export option, I stopped leaping at the next upgrade, so I'm currently still using v8.6.  Most editors have support for audio VST plug-ins -- which would be useful in Camtasia and would get around the lack of some internal audio capabilities.
