I have used Snagit 12 since 2015 - now I have upgraded and I am totally lost!

Previously, if i had an image i needed to create, at say 600 x 600 px, and place/resize an image into that I would make a blank canvass at 600px sq, then 'open' the image i want to use within that canvass, and click/drag the corners of the image to re-size it withing my 600sq canvas - or alternatively simply position the new image over the canvass to my liking and then save.

Now,,i don't seem to be able to do this - when i have my 600x600px canvass and drag another image on to it, it is auto-resizing things all over the place and its driving me nuts.

Can someone please HELP!

Hi info,

I see you have upgraded to the latest Snagit after using a previous version for a LONG time.

And, you see a lot has changed! This can bit bit overwhelming, I know. I also know the temptation is strong to do the SAME EXACT thing with the new software that you have done in the past with the older version.

However, this version of Snagit HAS SO MANY new and interesting features that weren't available to you before... I would hate for you to miss out on something that might really enhance your work and productivity.

So, would you do me a GIANT favor? Please take a scroll through these pages to get familiar with all of the functionality you now have at your disposal:
