Not Able to Autosave Captures on Snagit 2018 Mac

The default location for Snagit Autosave Captures in my Mac is:

username/Documents/Snagit/Autosave Captures.localized

However, ever since I enabled iCloud Drive subscription, the new URL path looks like this:

username/iCloud Drive (Archive)/Documents/Snagit/Autosave Captures.localized

Problem is when I attempted to UPDATE the Autosave Capture location as follows:

username/iCloud Drive (Archive)/Documents/Snagit/Autosave Captures.localized

(Snagit > Preferences > Advanced > Autosave Location)

The failure message I received was as follows,"Unable to change the Autosave location.
The current Autosave location couldn't be found."

Please help provide a solution to this problem as I have been able to autosave my Snagit files in weeks.

Thanks

Typo. Correct last sentence should read like this,"Please help provide a solution to this problem as I have NOT been able to autosave my Snagit files in weeks."

Hum...  honestly, sounds like a bug.

I've logged an issue for Snagit engineering to investigate this, but I'd advise you to contact support at https://support.techsmith.com  They should be able to help you work around the problem until we can fix the root cause.

I'm guessing Snagit got "confused" when the path to the auto save folder changed out from underneath it.  Might need to manually move your files around/delete preferences/and reinstall. Support can help with all of that.

I've been working on a very similar situation with Nate on your Support Team for the past few months. Only difference for me is that I use OneDrive for Business instead of iCloud. No solution yet... Other colleagues in our company have the same problem. It was an error that was built into SnagIt 2018. Prior versions worked fine.

I would love to see a solution here, too. I use OneDrive for Business and have the same issue. Now I can't do screen recordings anymore because they won't be saved at all.

Same problem here with Snagit 2018 and OneDrive for Business. Snagit won't save video captures ("Snagit could not finalize your video capture. The videoURL for the MOV file is invalid. Please retry your video capture."). And in Advanced preferences, it won't let me pick a new autosave location ("Unknown error, makes sure there is enough free disk space available and try again.").

TechSmith Support (Nate) was able to help me solve my problem. I deleted my Alias to the Documents folder in the OneDrive sync folder, and then I was able to change my default autosave location. Afterwards, I recreated the Alias.

Thx. Wish that could help me too; I'm not using any aliases.
