Now I have to download files one at a time

Why has this changed. I have been able to download up to 6 at time forever. What has changed?

Apologies that this got taken out. As we have been making improvements to the Library Beta, we're putting in work to fix features on the Library so there may be churn that you experience.

For this feature in particular, we took it out because it was giving customers a poorer experience than we want in the short term. We will be looking at ways to make this work better in the future.

As we rework it, it'd be great to get some information as to how you were using it. What was the end goal? Are you moving content around? Or something else?

I have to download and archive the mp4 files into Box for long term storage.  I may need to evaluate the process that we have been using for years.  Thank you for replying.

Ok, that makes sense. We're considering having a way to download your whole library at once. Would that meet your needs or do you need something more granular?

The most I was able to do at one time over the years without making Screencast freak out on me was 6 files at a time.  This was doable, but to be able to download more would be convenient, then I could start the download and let it run after hours.

Currently it's not possible. But we are considering our options for how to solve this for you all.

Is this more for backup? Like eMindful mentions above. Or is there another use case that we should be keeping in mind?

No, I want to stop my subscription to screencast and use an alternative web hosting because I am not happy with the new changes and the frequent happenings of videos not loading and my students getting frustrated because it is inconsistent and not reliable.  I would like to download all of my videos so that I can easily move them.

I'm sorry to hear that. In the short term, you'd have to download them one at a time. We will be making improvements to this in the future. And are investigating it.

The main goal for the most recent changes have been to improve the viewing experience for your viewers (in your case your students). If you'd be willing to chat about what is causing you to move, I'd love to connect and understand your issues. But I totally understand if you're not interested as well.
