Number stamps greater than 20, is there a way to create them now, or is this a feature request?

I am using Snagit 2018 on a PC. I am adding number stamps to document the sequence of navigating a web page using the tab key. The number stamps stop a #20 which I never noticed before.  How would I get number stamps greater then 20? Is there a way to add custom values, can I update a config file somewhere.  Am I just out of luck?  Thanks in advance.

Use the steps tool. It goes as high as you want it to.

He's using Stamps, not Steps.

I hadn't put together a screen shot yet.

Stamps and Steps appear to be often confused.

Perhaps it will be helpful to clarify that Stamps are simply images with the numbers burned into them as part of the bitmap. For those, I believe that in today's SnagIt you have to choose each number you wish to use before using it. I think older versions of SnagIt may have had a way to auto increment them to the next numbered image as you clicked to insert them. But I don't think that happens any more.

As Joe and Dubie have said, there are also Steps, which are reasonably dynamic. With Steps, the auto incrementing happens and goes as high as you want or need.

Cheers... Rick :)

I have always preferred Steps over the numbered stamps.  With their optional shapes and styling they are so much more flexible and they will pick up on any theme colours you may use.

Definitely the way to go.

You can also edit the numbers on steps, so if you need to renumber or change their orientation, you have that option.  I'm partial to the sideways balloon shaped ones, because you can orient the point to precisely locate some tiny little control so users know exactly what you're referring to.  I like that the number auto-rotates, too.

Can you please change the steps so that you can have number and letter e.g. 1a, 1b, etc??
