Office 365 PowerPoint Add-in Incompatability

The “click-to-run” version of Office365 does not allow PowerPoint to install the Camtasia 2020 Add-In. I have discovered that this is a known issue but it is a huge problem.  We just bought a site license for Camtasia  specifically because it integrates with PowerPoint and to
hear that it does not will cause problem for the thousands of faculty who must use the O365 version that the school provides. Any thoughts on a fix or workaround?

Hi there!

Can you confirm the version of Camtasia that you have installed? You should be seeing the add-in if you're running Camtasia 2020.0.2 (which you can download here: https://www.techsmith.com/download/camtasia/ ) in the Office 365 version of PowerPoint.

Hello, thanks for the quick reply. the 0.2 version allows for the add-in. That is just great. Two things of interest though. The updater on the software said I had the most recent version when I actually had the 0.0 version. Also, I was told by tech support at TechSmith yesterday that the add-in would not work with the "click-to-run" version of O365. Anyway, thanks for ending my odyssey.

I'm running v20.0.4 (build 22500) with the desktop version of Office 365. The plugin does not appear even after repairing  Camtasia.
