Your new version of Snag-It is downright terrible.  It used to be so easy to use.  Now, I can't even find half the features I used to use.  Is there any way to go BACK to the old version?  Your new interface is no longer intuitive.  I would never recommend this current version.

They have somewhat brought a couple features back. What features are you looking for? You might get pointed in the right direction but if not well ... you will have support.

JL, you can use the links below to download the older versions. Your new key will work with an older version. v2018 is crap compared to v11.4.2. I own all the versions but still use v11.4.2 and am very happy.

Hopefully this will help.

Thank you!!!!  Snagit used to be the fastest simplest tool with the smallest footprint.  I hate that it tries to guess what I am trying to capture.

I agree with all the comments about the "newer" (but not better) version of Snagit.  my favorite version: 9 & 11

I agree with Robert, the last good GUI was v11.4 and that is what I am using. I own all the latest version. Management of Techsmith has total denial of the fact that they have screwed the program from Great to worse. It has become bloated too. They do not seem to get it. There has been so many complains online but they still do not get it. Just freaking dumb. Self destructive behavior.

The last good GUI was Version 11.4. Things started going downhill with each subsequent version. It is as if a competitor bought the product and is trying to kill it!

Sorry Techsmith, but I just reverted to an older version too.

I work almost exclusively in the Editor, and everything in the current version is much more difficult to access. The Recent Captures Tray is limited to 15 screen captures, and this alone makes the Editor unusable for me.

I also prefer some of the feature set and the workflow from older versions better. One thing that I was happy to see brought back is the OCR ability to capture text (used to be in older versions, perhaps v9 was the last?). Since it returned, I now rely on that feature almost daily. I am a Software Engineer and do a lot of testing of output and being able to grab the text for reporting purposes is really helpful. You know you can run multiple versions if you need to. They write to the same image database.
