OneClick - Missing Photo / Video Buttons in Version 2020

I've just upgraded from Version 11 to 2020. In version 11 I really liked having the camera & video buttons on the 'OneClick' area to define whether I wanted to take a photo or video, before selecting the capture area. In the 2020 version it now looks like you've got select your capture area then choose whether you are taking a photo or video on every single capture. This seems like a step backwards and resulting in more clicks per capture.

Please can you consider re-adding these selection buttons to a future version ?

Heres what they've done.
Custom Profiles are called Presets these days.
They appear below the Giant Red Button.
Clicking the Name of the desired Preset will trigger a capture of the same.

You cannot assign a Preset to the Giant Red Button any longer {:>(
Its been reduced to a one trick pony. Which is unfortunate, as I rarely use All-in-One.

I like being able to access the presets in this manner. Its quicker than opening the manage profiles window.

However, its much easier to click the Giant Red Button, due to its size.
You have to be careful not to select the wrong menu item as their grouped tightly together.
The Giant Red Button is Over 3 Presets tall.

I voted for your request.
There was an uproar when this change was made. A lot of users were complaining.
Our complaints got us nowhere. I'm less than optimistic this will change.
I suggest you get used to it.

I haven't tried all the presets in my list but, when I select one from the list and use it with the 'BIG RED BUTTON', it performs that profile thereafter with 'PrtScn' until I select a different preset/profile. Using 'BIG RED BUTTON' from 'One-click' still results in an 'All-in-one' capture. It should be noted that I have to have the 'Capture' window open to do this (change default 'PrtScn' profile). Using the 'One-click' drop down doesn't work the same.

Thats a decent workaround.

However, I can hit the Giant Red Button faster.
Its isolated from other functions as well.  Placed further away from other clickable functions.

The menu items touch each other. This makes it very easy to hit the wrong one.

Hi Andrew - thanks for upgrading Snagit. In case it's not clear from the previous response, you can still trigger an image or video capture in the same number of clicks:

Version 11 is on the left and version 2020 on the right. Both require the same number of actions.

You might need to open the preset menu the first time you use OneClick in v2020 but it will remember its state after that.

Hope this helps!

Hi Joe & Daniel

Thank you both for replying.

I have set up to two presets now as will run with this.
I'm sure I'll get used to it pretty quickly but as Joe pointed out I think I preferred it as it was before.

Thanks again
