File type .swf is associated with Jing.  When I select and open a file with type .swf, the Jing program tells me "Jing is already running...look for yellow sun".  I KNOW it is running.  Why is it not opening the file and playing the damn thing?  Windows 7 Pro

Hi there

I could be wrong, but the Adobe Flash Player is typically used to play a SWF file. I believe Jing only records the video in this format and saves it.

Cheers... Rick :)

Maybe.  It's frustrating because I have made Jing videos that appear in my history and I can easily open and play those....its this downloaded one with important info that is vexing me.

Flash almost always seems outdated and crashes a lot on my machine.  using Chrome.  will see if maybe firefox can handle it.

thanks.

Rick is correct that Jing isn't a SWF player. Flash is required to play it. If the SWF was created with Jing you should be able to manually upload it to Screencast.com and view it there.
