Optimal settings for recording using the Powerpoint Add-in

I'm using 8.6.0 recording  using the Powerpoint add-in but the screen is relatively fuzzy in the MP4.

Editing dimensions are 1920x1080.
I'm creating HD MP4 only.
Have played around with custom changes but can't seem to improve the rendered result.

I can't actually figure out what dimensions the Add-in records in - that would be good to know so I can check.

I've been advised by the techs at Kajabi (that's where the video is being use) that compression should be 3000+kbit/sec but I can't see where to check what that actually is.

Could someone help please?

The problem I see most is the Powerpoint slide size is not correct.

You should set your slide size to "Widescreen (16:9)"

In Powerpoint 13 you can check/change it under the "Design" tab

Also you do not mention what HD mp4 only you are using.

For 1920x1080 I would select HD mp4 only (up to 1080p)

Thanks for this. The PPT is the correct 16x9 size and it is MP4 up to 1080 as you suggest.

Do you know how I can adjust the compression settings?

If you right click on your finished video, then click on Properties in the menu, then click on the Details tab you can see what your video info is. ie;  bitrate,  file size etc.

When producing your video, select "Custom production settings"

Select  "MP4-Smart Player (HTML5).  Then on the controller tab Uncheck  "Produce with Controller"
as you don't need that.

Then click the "Video settings" tab.

Change the "Encoding mode" to Bitrate and change it to what you need/want.

Then produce your video.  Check the properties again of your video (right click on the mp4 file, properties,
Details tab

Max size to Kajabi (as they state is 2GB) so check that too

You may have seen this already but if not here is Kajabi video upload info

Hope this helps

Sorted! Thanks so much.
I'd got as far as the Encoding Mode myself and hadn't realised I could toggle this to Bitrate (I had previously had it at 75% which was way below the 10,000 I've now tested.
