Optimum Windows PC Hardware Specs for Camtasia Editing and Rendering

My question is right there in the title.
I'm wondering about that perfect middle ground between "Minimum Required Specs" and "You're Not Gaining Anything At This Point."

I'm considering buying or building a machine specifically for doing my AV editing and rendering, as the rendering aspects cause my poor system to just TANK.

Any general or specific recommendations are very welcome!

So, I'm a Desktop advocate. And I dedicated time and effort to 2 previous posts  in particular.
Others added to the second post as well.

With regards to PC's and Camtasia/Video editing in general.
I'm giving you those two links so you can read through them.

FWIW, I'm running it on an i7 7700 with 16GB of RAM and a 480GB SSD. I do not have a dedicated video card, just Intel HD 630 built-in graphics. It runs fine generally, with an occasional hiccup that I can't blame on the hardware.

In the "Timeline Laggy..." thread, I mentioned my other machine which has the same CPU and RAM, but with 32GB of Intel Optane memory and a 2GB hard drive, rather than an SSD. This is a less expensive way to get more storage and still have outstanding performance. I don't have Camtasia on it currently, but I may test it just for fun.
