Option to reverse order for region-based time capture

It's impossible to capture regions that also contain windows that disappear when they lose focus. To fix this there needs to be an option to reverse the order in which region-based (and probably other capture types) are performed when time-delayed; that is, instead of counting down and then assigning the region, the region is assigned first and then the countdown takes place, This is very much needed in situations where one has to display a drop-down menu, or other windows that would otherwise disappear when they lose focus. By allowing the region to be defined before the countdown, one has time to display the drop-down to be captured along with whatever else neds to be captured. Note that I'm very surprised that, after this many years of Snagit existing, a feature like this has to be requested.

I can see the need for what your after. If it ever becomes a feature may be another story.
If you post it as an Idea it can be voted for.

I have 3 suggestions. All Involve a hot key to capture. That will freeze the screen with the window/menu open.

1. Open the fly out menu/whatever. Hit the hot key for image capture. Place the cursor manually at a start point. You can let go of the mouse and fine tune with the arrow keys. Hit the space bar. That's the starting point of the capture. Move the mouse to the end point. Arrow keys for fine tuning are available.Hit enter to complete.

2. Open the fly out menu/whatever.Hit the hot key for image capture.Do full screen capture, crop in editor.

3.Open the fly out menu/whatever.Hit the hot key for "All In One". Select area and resize window to taste if necessary. Select camera icon to capture image.
4. Record the screen and extract an image.Crop to taste. Bonus technique.
5. If you're  wanting to capture the same sized area of the screen. You could create a custom profile for fixed region.Slide the capture area around until satisfied.

Okay I'm done, Regards,Joe
