Organizing files within the SnagIt catalog

I have been using SnagIt since 2009 (I'm still running version 8).  I had never used the SnagIt Catalog Browser until today.  I'm using the Catalog Browser so that I can see thumbnails of my .snag files.  I have .snag files for different projects, and keep them in separate folders.  I would like to move my .snag files to the SnagIt Catalog, but I'd like to preserve the folder structure.  As far as I have been able to determine, the Browser does not show sub-folders in the main panel.  I know I can get there by navigating to the sub-folder in the file browser panel on the left, but it would be much more convenient if I could see the folders in the main panel.  Is there a way?

I don't think you can, it's been soooo long since I used a version with that Explorer/folder view (Version 11.3.) Versions since 11.4 inclusive don't have that view available. The right-side pane only showed previews in the current folder. I liked it myself but I have learned to live without it. I installed 11.3 on an old device running Windows 7 and you can see that there is a sub-folder in the currently selected folder (2019) but it doesn't show in the right pane. Selecting the sub-folder in the left pane populates the right pane with previews of the files in that folder.

Thank you for verifying that it works that way by design. (a design flaw, if you ask me).

I'd love to be able to change the default Catalog folder, which the browser opens at startup, but Version 8 of the Catalog Browser has no user preferences.  I guess I'll end up moving my stuff to the catalog because I really like the browser otherwise.

EDIT: Ah, I see that the Catalog folder is set in SnagIt, under profile output properties.
