My recording explaination of my powerpoints is garbbled in the beginning. It sound like a couple of voices combined and they echo.  It stops at about 40 second in. Why is this happening?

Robin,

Check three things:
  1. Test your audio file in a different player. Does it play normally or does it have the echo?
  2. Are any audio effects applied to the clip with the echo?
  3. (this has happened to me) Is there a second copy of the audio clip on the timeline?
Tell us what you find out!

Mp4 should work.   No audio effect applied. No second copy.  It is so weird. Would like to up load the short sample I just did but realised there is no spot to do this

Robin,
I see your answer to my questions 2 & 3, but not the answer to question 1. Can you play the same file in another audio player? Quicktime? If that works without the echo, I'm stumped.
