I am using v 8.5.2 and all was fine, until just now.  I had a pc crash at 22m recording.  So then I thought I would make smaller videos, but the second time it crashed at only about 6 minutes.  Windows 7 Professional, decent i7 with 32gb ram.  I am just recording from pc screen.  How do I stop this happening?  I am using Camtasia as I learnt that free software using avi had a very small file size.  And I have made some big recordings today with Camtasia perfectly ok. So what changed?

Hi lyn,

I'm sorry to hear that Camtasia is crashing for you. Would you be willing to fill out a tech support ticket here - https://support.techsmith.com/hc/en-us/requests/new? They can take a look at your setup to figure out what's going wrong and get you back up and running asap.

Thanks,

Cait

I've just done that; I was hoping here would be quicker, as I am in the UK. Interestingly whatever has happened to Camtasia has also stopped my Jing working, despite me uninstalling and reinstalling that.
