I just bought snagit 13 which is the period of validity

Assuming you are referring to the licensing? If so, It is my own understanding that it's a perpetual license. Meaning, as long as it works on whatever operating system you are using, you are licensed to continue using it.

Then again, I'm NOT a lawyer nor did I stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night so I cannot pretend to be one. So in that vein, TechSmith folks have the final say.

Hello,

Rick is correct. You may continue to use the current version of the software you purchased as long as you wish. There is no other fee to pay.

Also, all incremental version release updates are free for you FOR THAT VERSION.

However, if you choose to upgrade to a NEW VERSION in the future, you will need to pay an upgrade fee.
