pip video stuck at first frame

I have a single pip video overlaid on a single back ground video.  I have performed a number of splits and deletions and clip speed ups to minimze the total time.  But now I find that often in preview the pip video clips do not play - they simply remain 'stuck' on the first frame.  This does not apply to all the clips and if I click different tracks and clips I can get a stuck clip to play in preview, I can live with that bug, but when I came to productionize again some of the pip clips play a constant view of the first clip frame rather than the video I expect.

Suggestions? Bug? Hidden feature I am not aware of?

Hey Paul,

Definitely not a hidden feature. Do you have a link to one of your videos we could take a look at?

Hi Logan

Sorry I did not keep it in its broken state.  The fix was to delete the probably clips and add them back (tedious but I needed to get on).

FYI the probably clips would remain stuck on the first frame if I slowly dragged the current video head cursor forward in time - yet if I dragged it backwards they did change as expected!

The final video I created is here:
