PIP & Side-by-Side video

Camtasia Studio 7/8: I need MUCH better information on PIP and side-by-side video. None of the tutorials have this outlined well, seem to refer to older versions, and commands and menu structure that isn't present.

I would also like to voice my support for the old PIP feature.  I understand that you can "construct" a side-by-side video experience in CS8, but a lot of the time the user should be in control of what they want to see in the player.  In particular, for presentations that switch between slides and a whiteboard, the user would want to choose which PIP video should be the "big" one in focus.  They may want to see one versus the other, or both.  The Desire2Learn player implements this *really* nicely and it is all done in the player.  See here for a demo:

This just takes two video streams and offers the PIP functionality completely in the player. 

Having this as an option (which is similar to what was in version 7) would be really nice, and it sounds like it was a popular feature...

Hey does anybody know if you can use a DSLR direct into a mac and use it for PIP? Thanks
