Pixelwise resize using keyboard

Following scenario.
In SnagItEditor: select whatever a rectangle, ctrl-c/ctrl-v.
Using ctrl-arrow one can shift this rectangle very precisely to the desired location.

Okay, done.

Now I wish to use my keyboard to resize this rectangle pixelwise, e.g. resize just 1 pixel on the right side. Using the mouse often is not precise enough, or better said, more of hassle, the resize is either slightly too large, or too small, one has to try a few times, where keyboard is more precise.

Any solution for this?
Is there a keyboard shortcut for this?
(Or, can it be configured somewhere?)

Thanks.

If there were such a feature. That could come in handy.

Anything would be an improvement over current functionality. The centered grab handles are generally useless for pixel perfect selections.

There was a trim tool that would trim an image one pixel at a time from the sides. But you couldn’t apply it to a selection. You could trim down the entire image first. Then use it to fine tune. Which is similar to what you’re looking for. TechSmith tossed that feature on the scrap heap a few versions back.

In Photoshop, the entire selection bounding box is active. “Same for cropping” You place the cursor at any point along the edges. The double arrow appears and away you go. You have to drag. The arrow keys won’t move the cursor. But precision is fairly easy to achieve.

If I could use the arrow keys as well? Might be a good thing.

Zoom, Pan, Crop and selection tool re-sizing. There all poorly designed from my perspective. They also need to be used in conjunction with each other. Exasperating the shortcomings.

Thanks. I have submitted the idea to support as well. Hopefully they will consider it.
It is a reasonable request/suggestion.

I checked out a free tool named PicPick and see that it can do this without problems.

For instance: click on Width - use arrow button to increase/decrease.

I believe something similar should be available within SnagItEditor.

Anyway, thanks again.

Support confirmed this feature indeed is not available.
