Please integrate Camtasia with LibreOffice and OpenOffice

Camtasia currently only integrates with MS Word and PowerPoint. I would like to request that Techsmith provide the same integration for LibreOffice and OpenOffice. I see several similar issues listed in the community files, and one response from you that said you would explore it if there was enough demand. Microsoft is forcing everyone into the online office platform. Techsmith's continued prioritizing of MS products is not a service to the Techsmith user community. In fact, it leaves a growing number of us forced to buy MS Office platform. It seems to me that this is a business choice on Techsmith's part. I request you reconsider this choice in the context of serving your users and the evolution of Office at Microsoft.

MS Office products are well documented and MS makes available the code to read/integrate them. I have in the past used MS code to read Excel spreadsheets in Delphi/Pascal. I could probable do the same for Calc, but I'd have to write all the integration code myself from their open sources.

LibreOffice and OpenOffice are "open source" can be changed on a whim by any of the couple hundred volunteer coders. So, IMHO, I suspect TS will consider your request for less than a millisecond.

From all my experience regarding open source development processes, they are much better documented than any closed source. A change is never done "on a whim by any of the couple hundred volunteer coders".  Therefore the correct conclusion would be "rather support LibreOffice than any commercial product".

Vince, it's not a matter of being documented, I'd have to do all the work to get Delphi to work with it Calc. Excel on the other hand, required only that "use" the correct library,
3 seconds top.
Don't get me wrong I love Calc too - in fact it does one thing very correctly where Excel drives me crazy, i.e. hyperlinks.

Your comment sounded a bit biased. My experience is the complete opposite. I think we should keep the topic as open for decision by TechSmith as possible.
