See screen capture.

Each tentacle Must have width control and point location ability.  This has been missing for a very long time as a 10+- year user of Snagit.

That would be awfully nice!

What I normally do for these is to use a total of four callouts. Three with no text and only using them for the  tails and one without that sits on top and provides the text.

Sure would seem easier to do it with a single callout though!

Cheers... Rick :)

I do to, but only one level has no line and with shadows, it looks gross.

This is why I would use four. Three for the tails and one without so that things appear consistent and less "ugly".

But realistically, I don't actually use the callouts for this. I only use a single callout with no "tail" and my own preference is to draw arrows first.

So for my own purposes, what would work best would be to have some way to anchor the origin points of the arrows to a common point that would then be anchored to the center point of the final tail-less callout. ;)

Note that I'm not suggesting you need to follow my own approach, I simply added it in the event that TechSmith would look at this thread for consideration and gather some ideas.

Cheers... Rick :)

Another way is to shrink the pointer to a single line.  Then you can use a normal line to add the extra pointers - like this:

Of course, it's still a fudge, but it's a lot quicker than the other fudges, if you can live with the single line.

You create the line effect by dragging one of the two handles on the tail base until it merges with the other one.  I do all my callouts this way now.  And they all can share the same shadow effects etc
