Please allow users to specify "completed" or "passed" from SCORM

Some LMS environments are specific about the SCORM success message accepted. Our Saba Cloud environment will not accept the current "passed" message for percentage of video viewed. To get around this, we end up including a one-question quiz at the end, and that just looks hokey. 

Please include a checkbox in the SCORM panel during publishing to allow us to choose the messages to be sent: "incomplete/completed" or "failed/passed".

Another trick: You can also add a hidden requirement to have watched 95% of the program. As long as they pass that point, they will also be marked as completed.

Thanks for the idea, rkerner. Unfortunately, this doesn't work in all LMS environments. I had added the 95% requirement and published as a SCORM package. Our LMS will not mark the associated course as complete: our LMS is expecting a different success message. We can't change the LMS, unfortunately. A half a day of testing done with the various SCORM-publishing environments we use, I was able to pin down the requirement for slide view/percentages: I need to be able to pass a "completed" message for content success. Thanks for the idea though.

Our Saba Cloud LMS required a "Passed" message for completions based on percentage viewed. The SCORM 1.2 package created from Camtasia sends a "Completed" message instead. Is there a way to configure the message:
  • Directly within Camtasia (best)
  • Within the exported files (next-best)
I realize the issue is caused by our LMS, but I can't change those settings. TIA!
