Please don't force the horrible 'one-click' slide-out box, I hate it (new in V12)

This conversation has been merged. Please reference the main conversation: How do I turn off OneClick / Capture Window in Snagit 12?

Previously I used to be able to disable the 'one-click' hideous device (in V11), then I just run Snagit in the system tray and open when needed for the various capture options.

Now I CAN run in the system tray and switch the horrible one-click thing off (which in itself took a while to decipher how to do that in the very obscure preferences labels. I had to go online to support to find that out).

BUT, having switched it off, and having Snagit running in the system tray, if I click on the notification icon, there is NO 'Open Snagit' command - only the godawful 'Snagit Capture Window'.

Shame. I just spent money on an upgrade - I'm sure the program is superior, but the interface certainly is not.

When can we expect some changes allowing users NOT to have some dippy slide-out box cluttering the top/side of my screen?

I assume you are similar to what i want, just not being sure - I do believe you want to click on profiles to get back to your overview of profiles, though this will only stay up if you keep that in the background.

I plussed your thing here as well, if you check out
