Why isn't it possible to localize text in call-outs? We really need this for our global audience.

Hello All,

Want to provide an update specific to the idea of localizing video. It's a popular idea here on GetSat that's been around for a long while. We are investigating for whom localizing video is most important and how their current solution (including but not limited to Camtasia) is meeting or not meeting their needs.

If you'd be interested in talking with us off line on the topic shoot me an email, d.dooley@techsmith.com. If you could include a few sentences about your role at your organization and your current process for localizing video that would be quite helpful.

Thanks

I have modified CAMLOC.EXE [version 4.2] so that it now includes the start times on the timeline of each Callout.  Download it at:

I have posted a new version of CAMLOC.EXE (5.2) which I believe now handles split Captions correctly, as well as handling Captions in Camtasia 8.  (However, it does not allow for translation of Captions, only Callouts).  If someone wants translation of Captions, let me know and I'll work on that.

Ignore below... seems it's not acting on round rectangles containing text? It says it's a Callout as well. Wow, that's most of my text! Understand if not, but would be great if you could adapt it, thanks ;)

Symptom:

Seems it's only grabbing a few of the callouts, and many of the lines are blank. Cam 8 Windows here. It's also adding in funny characters for example,

Make 'Em Move
\fs72
\fs144

d\qc Shock Tape Dispenser\b0\f1

... to quote exactly. I'm using several cr in the first callout along with left and center alignment on. It's only grabbing the first one here.

Thanks, nice tool! Hope I can make it work.
