Power down during recording

On WIn10 I recorded a HD screen of a meeting and after 1 hour the Notebook showed the warning "shut down due to missing power".
I ended the recording and Camtasia Studio opened.
But it was a not registered version of Camtasia so I was not able to open the recorded file in Camtasia.
When searching for the recorded video I found nothin in the default path:
C:Users\myusername\AppData\Local\Temp\
Is the file recorded in Camtasia a .temp file? Or what is the fille extensions named?
I could not find a file with Data Recovery Wizard Pro from easeUS.
Any help?
Thanks,

A recording is a temporary file until it's saved to the computer.
Its stored in the location of your choosing. Or to its default location, whichever applies.

Check that location, if its not there. You're probably out of luck.

This thread is confusing. How does one manage to record if you don't have a registered version of Camtasia?

Even if using Camtasia in a trial mode, it should have opened the recording.

Since when is the recorder restricted in trial mode in any way?
You can save recordings and edit them. Being register has no bearing on this.

People  render them with a Camtasia Trial Watermark all the time?
