I found your ticket, and we are currently working on it. I'll point them over to this thread too, so we can get this problem figured out as soon as possible for you!
You should have an updated email waiting for you. Once we get that info, we will get this fixed for you ASAP! Thanks.
I sent you all of the files finally. You should have received them on Friday morning but I have not heard a peep from anyone.
I will assume that you had Fri off and that I will hear from you ?????????
Please let me know ASAP that you had indeed received the files.
I hope you got the email from Cory this morning, but I'll go ahead and post it here as well.
I was able to take a look at the files you sent me and I noticed something interesting.
I have included a video showing that the thumbnails are in the correct spots when you have the video paused. I think the issue is that the thumbnails are showing the image from the previous slide based on the placement of the markers.
You may have better luck if you just move the markers on the timeline slightly based on what you want the thumbnail to be (for example, the 3rd thumbnail that I show in the video, if you moved the marker a slight bit to the right on the timeline you shouldn't see the same issue) .
Go ahead and reply to that email from Cory with any further questions! Hope you guys get this figured out!
I am including my response to Cory's email below in case you have any suggestions?????
Hope you had a nice Christmas holiday.
Now in reference to your comments below the TOC does not accurately reflect the slides although it may appear to on the initial slides you used in the tutorial you sent me.
If you take a closer look in the TOC, let's start right at the beginning, at slide one (thumbnail one) it says introduction.
Well on my PP slides my first slide says "Welcome to fundamentals of emergency medicine, red flags and common simple emergencies. Likewise the first slide in the TOC should read the same but it says "introduction."
If you play it, slide one becomes slide two in mid-sentence so slide one only lasts a few seconds but long enough to screw everything up. It is still the same image as you can see. So then what you see is by slide three it is behind by a slide. Its title is "why call it a red flag?" but it is still stuck on the previous image-the introduction image-the same one we started with. It should be on the yellow slide with the "old automobile" image.
On pause the thumbnails are not in the correct position starting with slide 2 (read the titles). It's easiest if you look at the titles to see they are not correlating.
It looks to me that there is this first slide, lasting only a few seconds, that subsequently throws everything off by one slide as seen on the TOC or the lecture and images if you click on any thumbnail in the TOC, off by a few seconds.
The forthcoming slides need to be moved back on the timeline so that by slide two we've eliminated the problem that slide one caused? I tried editing just the video portion by moving the timeline back one marker but it did nothing at all to the sequence, it still was off by one! Now maybe I did not do it correctly. I don't know.
I see that you mentioned as a solution to move the markers. All of them??
Is that really your solution? To move every marker in 40-80 slides in every presentation of which I am trying to make dozens? That gets into thousands of markers a waste of valuable time and therefore a worthless program.
Have you tried this? First of all I played around with this notion of moving the markers but it always was off again by one slide. I wish I was more proficient with this program but it didn't seem to work.
Secondly that suggestion is as far from a solution as I need to get. Either I get this to work the way it is intended or I have to find another program, or something else I am not sure.
To me it seems as if the video is off by one marker but why is it doing this? And is there a simple, real world solution? Lastly why aren't other people emailing you with similar problems?? If I'm the only one then perhaps it's the software that I got, that it's faulty?? Is that possible? Before you answer this I think we should be prepared to try another download if I am indeed the only one with this problem.
By the way this will have set me back a month easy. This is money that I keep losing every day we sit here without a fix.
How about taking the raw material I sent you and making it a normal presentation with a TOC that reflects the titles and then tell me what you did to make it normal?
I'm not trying to be rude I'm just getting frustrated because I can see that this is no ordinary problem and I may have to junk it which is the worst possible solution after all the time I put into this already.
I sincerely get the feeling that you do not know what to do and how to remedy this problem.
Surprise me and do something, anything instead of constantly asking for files that I have spend over week on sending and have already sent you.
I do not think you are capable of solving this.
We've gone ahead an bumped this up the chain to a senior tech support specialist. He should be emailing you here soon. Hope he can get everything figured out for you!
Otherwise do I wait until you have a newer edition of Cam to remedy this? I wasn't sure from the last email.
I've acquired the new PP edition which allows for all of the same things so I guess I'll use that until you get a fix in for me.
I wish to know how I can have my associate and web designer see my production videos. She does not have Camtasia so everything I have sent her she can't open. How do I proceed?
Furthermore, does my purchase allow permission to get a copy for my laptop?
Lastly, I am wondering if I could get a time estimate on when you may have a solution to the problem Cory and Logan, etc have been helping me on?
In addition, you need to be aware of I think another problem with your software. I just installed Power Point 2010 and Camtasia does not work in it. I get the message of error...
Can you please check that out and let me know if it's a new problem with PP 2010?
I have spent (I hope not wasted) a lot of time on this. Are you planning on fixing things soon or are we looking at next year with the next version?
I've mentioned it to them twice and they don't even bother responding. I guess they have smaller fish to fry.
