PowerPoint Freezes when trying to record from the add-in!

My screen freezes in PowerPoint after clicking ''record'' in the add-in tab. I've tried opening Camtasia with a righ-click as administrator... but no luck. Any suggestions? Would it be possible to import the PP presentation directly into Camtasia if I save it as a ''show''? Hope someone can shed some light into this problem. My OS is Windows 7. Thanks.

I record PPT presentations without the plugin - I set my desired screen dimensions within ppt (640x480) and then record full-screen. I can then set my markers every three or four slides to establish my Table of Contents.

That's a fantastic idea! Thank you so much for taking the time to help me out with this Richard. I will try that right now.

Thanks again!

Is there a solution to this rather than a workaround? I have the same problem as well, but I need to use the add-in from inside PowerPoint because I am training others how to use the add-in. I am using MS Office 2010 with my company's corporate license of Camtasia Relay.

First, PowerPoint takes forever to load, then the add-in won’t load:

If I can get the add-in to load, then PPT hangs when I click record. I must use Task Manager to shut down PPT.

When I re-launch PPT, I get this error:

I have already un- and re-installed both Camtasia Relay and Powerpoint. I’m not sure what else to do at this point.
