PRAISE: I used SnagIt to land a Shark Tank company as a client from a cold inbound email...

Here's how I used SnagIt to create a video proposal that landed one of Mark Cuban's portfolio companies as a client (thank you TechSmith!!!)...

I've been using SnagIt for years to create screencasts for pretty much everything but I became obsessed with using screencasts to make one-of-a-kind video proposals (I used to send PDF attachments like everybody else).

I work in a super competitive industry and I am constantly trying to differentiate myself.  Of everything I have done, video proposals (using SnagIt) has been the most lucrative.  I went from wining 1 out of 3 proposals to 2 out of 3 proposals (which doubled my sales without having to spend any more money on marketing, boom!) after I built out a custom way of hosting and presenting my SnagIt videos.

The killer feature I built is what I call the "mind reading" feature...  I get notified the moment my prospect presses play and I immediately pick up the phone to give them a call and they are like "it's so crazy that you called right now, I literally just sat down to watch your proposal video".  At that point I can usually just close my prospect right then and there.

Before I built all the custom stuff to create landing pages for my video proposals it used to take me ~1 hour to do everything (and I didn't have the "mind reading" feature).  Now, I can do everything in <10 minutes (and after creating a tutorial I now have my virtual assistant do it).

Anyways, I have shared this tool with a few of my clients and they are in love.  I just wanted to give a shout-out to SnagIt for making capture screencasts super easy for my clients (which are not tech savvy at all, lol).

That's a very nice idea Chad.  Getting a notification when your video plays looks like a winner for your business.  Nice website.  It's very innovative. Best of luck and enjoy Snagit in your toolkit.

What a great story, Chad. Thank you for using Snagit and sharing this concept with the community!

I've been talking with a number of sales teams lately about how they go about pitching prospects and would love to hear more about what you're doing. Could we set up a time to chat for 20 minutes later this week? Shoot me an email at and we can make arrangements from there.

Thanks again for sharing this story!
