When I proceed to buy the software at checkout, the price jumps from $49:95 to $72:08.

Can you explain why this is happening and how I can proceed with the purchase for $49:95 (I'm not interested in the additional maintenance support package.)

Thanks.

Where are you on the globe? I'm wondering if perhaps you may be in a foreign country and some monetary conversion is taking place to account for it.

I think you may be right. If I click through into the "Learn More" button at the bottom of the page I see the 49.95 price but when I click on the buy link it comes up as 72.08. I doubt it's a coincidence, especially as 49.95/72.08 comes to about 0.70 which is close enough to the current practical exchange rate between USD and AUD. (Which is where I'd bet Neil Moore is.)

I really think that Techsmith need to start using ISO 4217 codes to make it clear which currency they're talking about at any given time. I can think of at least one other company that was excoriated when they had amounts on their Australian store which were actually USD amounts, and customers didn't find out until the charge hit their credit cards.

Yes, I'm indeed from Australia so you've probably hit on the problem. I'll proceed with the purchase and see if I become more enlightened in the process.

Thanks.

The final price of $72 was AUD, so it was all about the conversion rate.

Thanks for the help.
