Print and page settings on Mac Snagit

In the file menu on Mac Snagit are two items related to printing.
File > Print and File Page Setup.

So, with your image captured, trimmed and ready, you'll click Print to find you can change countless printing options, except the one you most need - Page Orientation.
So you must go back to Page Setup, change the orientation and reselect File > Print ....

On the PC I recall having a fabulous pre-print dialogue and I could change everything about printing, centering the image or not.

This need for two menus to get your print sorted is bizarre. It is common on many Adobe applications and wherever that occurs it's a bad example to follow. It's also irritating.

Can I have one dialogue to print please - meaning click Print and be able to adjust page dimensions, margins, orientation as well as colour / black and page to print.

I've used Snagit since 2004. It's my most used app after Chrome. Shame about the Mac version being less good value.

Bad news! I don't think this is a Snagit only problem. It used to be as you describe for the PC printing. Somewhere along about either Sierra or High Sierra updates, some Mac apps started varying to the setup that you see in Snagit. Unknown what Apple did to cause this.

I'm not 100% sure but it does seem to be an Apple thing. Maybe Luke or one of the engineers can shed more light on this subject. BTW.... several of my most used apps are set up this same way and it also bugs me.

We just shipped Snagit 2020.1.4 for mac today with some improvements to the print dialog. You can now choose between portrait and landscape, and various scaling options all from the main print dialog.
