Hi,

We've recently bought Camtasia Studio 8. We'd like to produce some screen recording videos that are only available privately to selected people. Is there a way of sharing content this way?

Thanks in advance.

It depends on how you want to share them. Where they will be viewed. "HDTV / Computer"
Are you producing them with a Smart Player and Interactive content.

Screencast has settings so that you only share a link.

You could upload them to Drop Box and let them download the file.

You Tube has settings for privacy.

The list of sharing possibilities is quite large.

Any time you make access to videos available to others. There's always a risk of the file being shared.

Regards, Joe

If you could provide more details there are a lot of people in this forum that can help you.

Hi Laura,

If you share your videos to Screencast.com, you can set you privacy levels in many ways to limit access to your videos.
Here is an article and video that will give you more information:
https://www.screencast.com/help/tutorial.aspx?id=303

Overall, the Screencast.com Authenticated account is the highest level of
privacy. In order to view the content, the recipient receives an email
containing a link to the content. To view the content, the recipient
must have a Screencast.com account (they can create one for free). The
email address used to create an account must match the email address
on the invitation. Additionally, an invitation can be revoked at any
time rendering the link in that email invalid.

If you don't have a TechSmith Screencast.com account, you can sign up for a free account here:
http://www.screencast.com/

But, whereever you upload your videos, keep in mind that anyone who views your video can also record your video if they have an app like Jing, Snagit, Camtasia, etc.

I hope this helps!
Kelly

Thanks very much for your comments Joe and Kelly, they're really helpful.

I think I may now have found a way that works best for us.
