Problem Joining Two Projects in Cam 8 (Windows)

I am trying to join the edited contents of two projects into one on the timeline of Project A. I went to Project B, attempted to select the tracks I saw and add the project tot he library. Then I opened Project A and dragged Project B from the library to the timeline after Project A's camrec. What I got has two issues:
1.I can't seem to remove blank space between the two pieces. There is a small gap but it has nothing in it. So I cannot cut that peice of track because there isn't one. How do I move the right half right up against the left half?
2. More importantly, Project A appears to have three tracks while Project BV has only two tracks. That seems like a problem. Since I always uncheck the box to record system audio, I don't know why I have a track for system audio in Project A. Anyway, I am missing some aspect of joining two edited projects projects together.

Please help.

For Project B, BTW, I could not figure out how to do a "select all" of what is on the timeline. That might or might not be my problem. Thanks.

Hi there

With most Windows applications (and I don't think Camtasia is different here) you click to place focus on the Timeline and press Ctrl+A to select everything.

Cheers... Rick :)

Yes, I wanted to do that but I could not figure out where to click the mouse first. I did this and got a better result.

Okay, I solved #1 and mostly solved #2. However, I have a problem with the content of Project B. After spending a considerable amount of time editing project B, what Camtasia 8 added to the library as an asset is missing my edits. I don't want to have to make those edits all over again. What can I do? Thanks.
