I am not sure Windows 7 works that great with the new version of Camtasia as I have not got Camtasia Studio 7 installed anymore on my Windows 10 and no longer use Windows 7.

Can you give more information on what you are recording and mean when you say it minimizes the screen or is it minimizing the Camtasia Recorder ? If it is doing either it should still show on the Windows Taskbar and you should just be able to click on it from within the Taskbar and bring it back up on the screen/monitor. If you are using one monitor only or a laptop this is tandard for the recorder to minimize but I do not remember the application I was recording minimizing. Let us know if this works so we can help get this figured out for you. I like seeing feedback from other users to see if it helps or not with the many suggestions our users post here for help and it also lets us know if the issue is resolved/answered or not.

Thanks for posting and have a great day/night.

Cheerio ~ Fred.

when you launch Recorder from the Camtasia Editor, it [normally] will minimize the Camtasia Editor and will give focus to the last app seen before Camtasia's Editor was opened

if you pin Recorder to your task bar, launching Recorder using the task bar icon [normally] will not minimize the Camtasia Editor

can you see Recorder after Camtasia minimizes?

if not, try using alt-tab, or the windows button, to find Recorder

does that help?
