Problem with "Scrolling window" capture - Snagit 2018

With Snagit 2018, the "scrolling window" capture option does not work properly if the account I'm logged with does not have local administrative rights.

I tried to "run as" Snagit with an another account which as local admin rights, but it does not work. The resulting capture only shows what was on the screen when I did the capture (even though the scrolling action happened) or parts of the scrolling window appear incomplete.

As soon as I login with an account with local admin rights and then starts Snagit normally, everything works perfectly.

Is there a way to use the "scrolling window" capture option without the need for local admin rights ?

Hi there

Have you tried the new "Panoramic" capture? 

Through the years I've seen all manner of issues related to the scrolling window capture failing for this or that reason.  For me, I've abandoned the feature and the Panoramic capture works a treat!

Hi Rick,

Yes, I tried the panoramic capture, but I get the same issue; most of the time, the result is incomplete, but if I login with an acocunt with local admin rights, it works fine everytime...
