I just upgraded snag-it (have been using 8.2 forever) anyway! I like the VIDEO idea! so I upgraded. I can't make the video work? I keep getting BLANK video's? then after a few minutes it says error making this video!
ALSO: did you every try to capture a window OF SNAG-IT with Snap-it? it will not let you do that! that's weird! I had to take a photo of the snag-it page and then capture the photograph with snag-it.
I'm just getting started with Snag-it 11, seem like so much crammed into on package when I I wanted was a small picture of the screen..... thank goodness I didn't delete version 8.2 --Snag-it 11 is going to take some time to learn!

We are currently looking into the cause and a resolution to this issue. Do you also have Camtasia Studio installed? You might try restarting Windows and let us know if that fixes the issue. Please file a tech support ticket at http://support.techsmith.com to receive the latest updates on our response to this.

As far as capturing Snagit, if you open Snagit, select Tools > Program Preferences, and click the the Program Options tab, you can unselect the "Hide Snagit before capturing" option in order to capture Snagit.

I screwed around with this all weekend and then I searched techsmith for other complains (figured I couldn't be the only one) and low and behold I found the RESTART deal!
Restarted the computer and it worked like a champ! Now, the page that was recorded wasn't readable? not sure what that was all about? maybe it will give you a hint as to the problem????

anyway! I know techsmith will figure this out! wasn't worried... Still learning... so much one can do! holy smokes! I purchased it because of the VIDEO! it's pretty cool and the files are very small......

NO I do not have Camtasia loaded...

what about the problem I had trying to CAPTURE a SNAG-it picture?

It just doesn't record itself??????
