Problems saving images with Snagit 2018

Having recently installed Snagit 2018 I started having some strange problems the first time I tried using it.

First issue: When I printed a PDF to the Snagit printer and then tried to save it to my hard drive, I got the choice of saving only the current page or a file for each page. I opted for only the current page. Then I got the message saying that it failed (I forget the exact wording). I couldn't save it at all then and couldn't even close Snagit. I had to use the Task Manager to quit. I disabled my Webroot and tried again... same results. When I went back in to edit the image and save it there was no problem.

Second issue: When I tried to open a JPG file I created that morning with a double click, I got the message saying "Snagit version 18.0.0.462 is already running. Please close Snagit 18.0.0.462 before starting Snagit 13.1.4".

Third issue: I went in to open an image I had just changed and got the message "Failed to initialize the Snagit datastore (Error code: 25117) Automatically stored files to location C:\Users\Seven\A[[Data\Local\TechSmith\Snagit\DataStore\".

I checked to see if I had the latest version - I did (Snagit version 2018.0.0 (64 Bit, Build 462, Oct 13 2017), and was running WIndows 10 on a Thinkpad Yoga 14.

I contacted Snagit support (request #397858) and was advised to uninstall Snagit V13. I did so and the problem went away.

I had assumed that previous versions would work or that they would be automatically uninstalled. I guess either I missed something or was not correct in my assumption. Suggest you fix this so it doesn't happen, and in addition give users the choice to uninstall previous versions, and to do so when so desired.
