Produced video has black section and portions where it freezes

Produced video is frozen, black, incomplete. I have tried to change the quality, tried producing, tried rendering timeline. Strange problem, always same result. I've deleted the resulting video/folder. I've shortened the video (10 seconds long only!) Changed resolution of video to make it smaller. I did an update to Camtasia, etc. Constantly a similar result. First 5 seconds the video is frozen, then a second of black, then last few seconds are fine.

Hello,

Do other projects open and render okay? There is something whacked up in this project. First, was this clip made with Camtasia or brought in from elsewhere? Does the clip play normally outside Camtasia?

The clip plays correctly in Camtasia but not in WinMedPlayer W10. I took the video (recorded on my phone, and I've made 100s of videos using my phone) and added track speed, put in 1.1 and rendered and it was fine...??? No effects, no anything. Just a straight up camera recording with a PNG of our logo in the lower corner that I use for every video I've made. So it is solved but it was annoying.

Phone videos are typically VBR (variable bit rate) as opposed to CBR (constant bit rate). They play fine natively but can get screwy in an editor timeline. Programs like Handbrake can convert VBR to CBR and this usually solves synchronization issues.

I can't account for the other anomalies, glad you were able to fix with clip speed.
