Product-level setting for "use trimmed content for transition"

As a content creator, I want a product-level setting that allows me to set a default that prevents Camtasia from defaulting to "Use trimmed content in transition".

More details:
When a content creator adds more than one media element to their video, it is not uncommon to add a Camtasia "Transition", like a fade or flip.

Prior to adding that transition, the content creator often edits the video by, say, trimming out unused content at the beginning or end of the adjoining media clips.

By default (in Camtasia 2020 and previous versions), Camtasia adds a transition with the "Use Trimmed Content in Transition" setting.

The problem with this default setting is when the video plays, imagery the content editor originally trimmed (removed) from the video appears in the transition.

Someone viewing the final video will see a transition with images unrelated to the content (because it was intended to be trimmed).

Ideally, this setting is "off" by default, but at minimum, I would like Camtasia to provide a product-level setting to turn it on or off.

This setting would only impact new transitions added to a project. Existing transitions would remain with whatever setting they previously had. The content creator could say the "default" for "use trimmed content in transition" is "off", but could still enable it for selected transitions, should they so desire.

In summary, the product-level setting would only set the default for a newly added transition.

I am suggesting this for the MAC and PC versions, but am only a Mac user, so unsure if the setting is available for the PC.

Hi Bill,

Thanks for the feedback! This is indeed a program-level option on Camtasia for Windows, but not on Camtasia for Mac. I can certainly see where that could be useful, I'll get it on our list of things to consider.
