Project Groups + Navigation

I just finished a large project with several hours of training. As a training developer, organization is essential. But integrated organization is down right awesome!

Why not have "project groups" built into the folder structure with navigation? Similar to how you navigate in Snagit. Only, you might have a "main" projects directory, which holds all projects. Each project could have multiple project groups.

Say, you're working on Project 1, Module 1, and you just realized that you forgot to edit something small in Module 2, you could easily navigate to Module 2, make the adjustment, click save, and switch back to Module 1 and continue working.

I see this as an expandable file tree with navigation to all files and folder within each projects subfolder. Include the ability to "filter" which files you want to see (camproj, camrec, etc), and this would make grouping projects into training modules so much more efficient.

Oh, and a place to put some notes would be great. Other than that, camtasia 8 rocked. It's getting better and better all the time. Thanks for entertaining my idea. :-)

you can use the Library to accomplish much of what you're looking for; the Library is a powerful tool when used with collections of project snipets

perhaps view this collection of tutorials for some project management ideas ...

Thanks Kayakman, that's an interesting way to do things for sure. I was thinking a little more in terms of how one might use an office program, say powerpoint, or MS word --where a user can work on multiple documents at a time, giving you the ability to copy text/images from one doc to another.
